Dillon Brown, age 23, of Plattekill, was arrested around 5:25 p.m., by the City of Beacon Police after officers responded to a report of a past robbery involving a firearm, said Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found two men, including Brown who was in possession of a "quantity" of narcotics, as well as a semi-automatic “ghost gun," said Johnson.
Ghost guns are weapons assembled from parts or kits that include an unfinished piece such as a frame or receiver with no serial numbers.
Brown was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery
- Count criminal possession of a weapon
- Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance
Brown was later placed in a holding cell where he intentionally obstructed the toilet with clothing and was additionally charged with criminal tampering.
He was arraigned and transported to the Dutchess County Jail on 5,000 cash / 20,000 bond / 50,000 unsecured and given a return court date in the near future.
